色づき大師（十月限定）
高野山は寒暖差が大きいため、紅葉がとても美しく色づきます。
なかでも金剛峯寺から壇上伽藍へ続く蛇腹道は、赤や黄色に染まる紅葉のアーチで知られています。
秋が深まると、高野山はいよいよ寒さの厳しい季節を迎え
修行僧たちは色づく紅葉を胸に、仏道への決意を新たにします。
色づき大師は、秋空を思わせる青みの色衣（しきえ）に黄色から赤へと色づくお袈裟をまとい五鈷杵を合掌の内に縦に挟み持つお姿です。
厳しい季節へ向かう覚悟を、その姿にあらわしました。
本作は、真言宗僧侶・造形作家の天野こうゆうが、み教えへの敬意を大切にし、自身の解釈のもと制作したお大師さまです。

まるで絵画のように、高野山の街を華やかにする紅葉は
厳しい冬を迎える前の、束の間の癒しを届けてくれます。

Irozuki Daishi (October)
Mount Koya’s autumn leaves turn especially vivid thanks to the significant temperature differences.
The Jabara-michi path, which runs from Kongobu-ji Temple to the Danjo Garan, is especially known for its arch of red and yellow leaves.
As autumn deepens, Mount Koya enters its cold and harsh season.
The monks in training carry the colors of the autumn leaves in their hearts and renew their commitment to the Buddhist path.
Irozuki Daishi wears a bluish robe (shikie) that calls to mind the autumn sky.
Over it is a kesa that shifts from yellow to red, like the turning leaves.
His palms are joined in prayer, holding a five-pronged vajra (gokosho) upright between them.
The figure expresses his resolve as he faces the harsh season ahead.
This work was created by Amano Koyu, a Shingon Buddhist priest and sculptor, as his own interpretation of Kobo Daishi, made with deep respect for the teachings.
