本来は「火生三昧」という炎の世界に住み、不浄なものを一切焼き払う厳しいお姿の明王さまであり
この明王を祀ることで、日々使う場所を大切にし、トイレを清潔に保とうとする心が育つとされています。

Ususama Myõo
Ususama Myõo is a Wisdom King believed to transform impurity into purity.
Through the wisdom of fire, he burns away defilement and has long been revered as a guardian who keeps both body and mind clean.
He is sometimes called the "deity of the toilet," but in essence he is a fierce Wisdom King.
By enshrining Ususama Myoo, it is said that one develops a respect for everyday spaces and a mindful attitude toward keeping such places clean.
